I’m experiencing lag, stutters or crashes. How do I fix this?

These issues can often be attributed to:

  1. Poor internet connection
  2. Server issues
  3. ISP issues
  4. Device capability/performance

Internet Connection

Check to make sure you have a strong signal on your WiFi or 3G connection. WiFi is going to be your best bet for a strong, stable connection.

Storage Space

If you’re maxed out on your memory, consider backing up your files to your computer and deleting them from your device. Lack of storage space can result in crashes or poor performance of the game.

Memory

For best performance, close and shutdown all apps you’re not using. This will improve your battery life as well.

Update Device

Make sure that your device has been fully updated to the latest operating system version available.

How can I disable or enable in-app purchases?

Most of our games are free to play. On the free-to-play games you can make in-app purchases to enhance gameplay and help you progress faster. These purchases are made with real money using the iTunes store.

To setup your iOS device to request a passcode each time an in-app purchase is attempted, follow these steps:

  1. Start the Settings app from your home screen and select the General submenu
  2. Scroll down and tap on the Restrictions option
  3. Enable Restrictions and set a password (don’t forget it!) – make sure it’s not one that would be easy for other users of your device to guess.
  4. After successfully creating your new password, scroll down to the Allowed Content option, and put the In-App Purchase slider in the Off position.

  1. Start the Google Play Store app from the home screen
  2. Tap on the Menu button and select Settings
  3. Scroll down to the User Controls submenu and tap on the Set or Change PIN option
  4. Set a PIN that you will be able remember – make sure it’s not one that would be easy for other users of your device to guess.
  5. Checkmark the box next to the Use PIN for Purchases option

Is Facebook required?

You do not have to login to Facebook to play but a social media account is highly recommended for a few reasons.

Most importantly, it allows you to share your progress across multiple devices.

Why do I need to have Internet connection to play Capital City?
Capital City requires Internet connection because many of the graphics are hosted remotely on a cloud to reduce the memory storage requirement to download the app. It is also required for social connection with other players in the game (Global and Game Chat).
